Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger beef
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the hamburger beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper.

2. Slowly mix the whisked egg into the mixture, ensuring the mix does not become gloopy.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 pound hamburger beef
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (finely chopped)
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup or relish
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 small dinner rolls
  • 4 cherry or plum tomatoes (sliced)

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the hamburger beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper.

2. Using clean hands, or latex gloves, mix until all ingredients are combined. Shape mix into 12 patties, approximately 120% larger in diameter than the dinner rolls.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 6 patties to the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining patties.

4. Cut open the dinner rolls. Spread a tiny dollop of mayonnaise on the bottom of each roll. Carefully place a slider on each bun. Top with tomato relish, lettuce, and a slice of tomato, then close the dinner roll.

5. If these tiny treats seem unstable, carefully insert a toothpick in the center of each dinner roll until it touches the plate. Arrange on a platter and enjoy!

The perfect complement to a warm summer afternoon. It’s impossible to get tired of a good, classic homemade hamburger. These burgers whip up quickly and can be topped with your favorite salad & condiments. Enjoy!

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 pound hamburger beef
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions

1. Fire up the BBQ. The right BBQ (propane or charcoal) is completely subjective!

2. Slowly combine the whisked egg and hamburger beef together in a large mixing bowl. Add breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix just enough to combine the ingredients.

4. Cook patties on covered grill for approximately 5-10 minutes each side (to the desired doneness).

Anybody who likes a big juicy burger will love a loaded Aussie burger. This monster includes beetroot, pineapple, bacon, and a fried egg. Below is an Aussie burger recipe to impress. Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 pound hamburger beef
  • 1 red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices of cheese of choice
  • 4 slices of back bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted to preference)
  • 1/3 cup whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 3 romaine lettuce leaves (chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 4 slices beetroot
  • 4 pineapple rings

Directions
1. Combine hamburger beef, red onion, ketchup Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt, and pepper together in a large mixing bowl. With clean hands (or latex gloves), combine ingredients until mixed.

2. Shape mixture into four thick patties, approximately 2cm thick. Place covered patties in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Click here for a few tips on shaping patties.

3. Heat oil in a large skillet (preferably non-stick) over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-10 minutes on each side. Preheat oven to 350°. Grill or cook bacon in a skillet for a few minutes.

4. Place the cooked patties on a baking tray, topped with cheese slices. Heat in the oven until cheese melts (approx. 5 minutes). Cook buns in the oven until preferred crispiness.

5. Dollop mayonnaise on the bottom bun (when cooled). Add lettuce, pineapple, and beetroot. Add the burger patty. Top with a fried egg and a slice of bacon. Top with sauce of choice (ketchup for the authentic Aussie taste).

6. Pair with potato wedges or chunky steak fries. Enjoy!
